ARTICLE 1: CONCEPT
"EcoTrail International - Virtual Challenge" is a connected race organised by the Run For You company. 4 distances are offered (10, 21, 42, 80km) to be completed in one go (Challenge 1) or in several sessions (Challenge 2).
This connected race is a sporting competition which will give rise to results per distance and per challenge. 1 reward will be offered to the first men and women for each distance according to the time taken to cover the total distance on Challenge 1. 1 reward will also be offered to the first men and women for each distance according to the time taken to cover the total distance on Challenge 2.
For challenge 2, you are allowed complete the event distance in multiple runs up to a maximum of:
-6 separate runs for the 80km,
-3 separate runs for the 42km,
-2 separate runs for the 21km,
-2 separate runs for the 10km.
ARTICLE 2: PLACES AND DATES
When? "EcoTrail International - Virtual Challenge" takes place between February 5th at 00:00am and February 22nd, 2021 at 11:59pm.
Where does this race take place? This race is only virtual, participants can run wherever they wish in compliance with the regulations in force on their territory.
This challenge is accessible via a mobile application (RaceOne) in all countries.
ARTICLE 3: REGISTRATION
Registrations are open to everyone from 18 January 2021 until 15 February 2021 on www.ecotrail.com.
Registrations for the 10km are open to participants who are over 16 years old at the time of the operation (born after 22/02/2005). For the distances 21, 42 and 80, only those who have reached the age of majority at the time of the operation are allowed to participate (born after 22/02/2003).
The prices are as follows:
- 12€ for the Silver package giving access to the virtual operation during the whole period.
- 32€ for the Gold package giving access to the virtual operation during the whole period + reception of a "finisher" package at your home composed of a medal and a gift.
Upon registration, the participant receives an email confirming his registration + an email containing a link to download & register on the RaceOne timing application. The participant will also receive a personalised race number in the colours of the event (registration made before 4 February 2021) in virtual format (PDF) that he or she can print out and wear during participation.
During the operation, the participant will be able to choose to run with the RaceOne application activated on his or her smartphone or to download a GPX file (via a watch or mobile application) once the activity has been completed. Exclusively on the application for challenge 2.
ARTICLE 4: COMMITMENT
All commitments are personal, firm and definitive, and cannot be reimbursed for any reason whatsoever. No transfer of registration is authorised for any reason whatsoever. Participation implies the express acceptance by each competitor of these rules.
All participants undertake to respect the laws & restrictions in force in the territory in which they take part in the operation. If restrictions are in place, please respect them first. Challenge 2 - Sessions, has been created to make it easier for as many people as possible to take part in the operation while respecting the instructions.
Sanitary advice and instructions must be respected, so it is preferable to run respecting the barrier gestures and following the recommendations of the respective governments.
You release Run For You, their employees, managers and the organisers from any liability for any claim whatsoever, each participant is fully responsible for his or her participation.
ARTICLE 5: DATE OF THE RACE
"EcoTrail International - Virtual Challenge" will take place between 5 February at 00:00am and 22 February 2021 at 23:59pm.
ARTICLE 6: IMAGE RIGHTS
When entering the event, each competitor expressly authorises Run For You (or its assigns) to use or have used or reproduced or have reproduced his name, image, voice, and sporting performance in the context of the event with a view to any direct or derivative exploitation of the event, on any medium, throughout the world, by all means known and unknown to date, and for the entire duration of the event.
ARTICLE 7: INSURANCE
You take part in this connected race at your own risk and under your own responsibility. You are aware that this activity requires adequate physical preparation and you certify that you are in good general health, have undergone a medical examination less than a year ago and are in the physical condition necessary to participate. You certify that you are in possession of an individual accident insurance policy covering bodily injury.
You release Run For You, their employees, officers and the organizers from all liability for any claim whatsoever relating to any personal injury, death or property damage resulting from your participation in this event.
ARTICLE 8: AWARDS
Each participant will be able to download his or her virtual diploma as a personalised souvenir attesting to his or her mobilisation with mileage reference and time once the challenge is over. They will also be able to benefit from a 10% discount on registration for an EcoTrail of their choice (choice at the time of registration) over the year 2021.
Several challenges will reward the participants:
- Challenge 1 - Open: Best time achieved in a single M/F session over 10, 21, 42 or 80km = 8 prizes
- Challenge 2 - Sessions: Best time achieved in several M/F sessions over 10, 21, 42 or 80km = 8 prizes
- One person drawn at the end of the operation out of all the registered participants: free travel for 2 people on the EcoTrail of their choice (transport paid for, accommodation up to a maximum of €500).
- EcoTrail event bibs to be won on a lottery: 10 units
Those who have not completed the challenge in full will not be ranked.
